I recently was a victim of an online scam. Here’s how it worked….
I was scrolling online looking at clothing items to buy for my spring break trip to Hawaii. I was looking at different bikini brands when a particular brand came up that I’ve been wanting to buy from for a long time. Usually this brand is on the pricey side so when I saw that the whole site was on sale for $15 or less I immediately clicked the link. After a second or two of scrolling through the page I realized that this was a fake site made to look like the real site. I opened a new tab and searched up the correct name of the site and the correct page. I found it and seeing that there was no sale and the normal prices were up reassured me that the other site was a scam.
Always watch out for things that seem too good to be true!
Omg! I got scammed when trying to buy my prom dress off of instagram! So glad I’m not the only one!
Crazy things people try to do for money! When buying something online from someone I always try to meet the person in real life and hand them cash after I see my product.
Scamming has also effect me dramatically. Ive been very close to be scammed as a kid when buying videogames online.

Wow, this is good to know because I just ordered a dress from a site I have never shopped at and received something else completely different, and it was the wrong size!!

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that. That is definitely a disappointing experience, I hope that you can get your money back! Always do your research on the legitimacy of the site before spending your money.
